WELCOME

Your Security Space, llc is a networking platform where security professionals can interact and discuss industry issues without the distractions often found on social networking platforms. Your Security Space offers our members the opportunity to collaborate with the goal of making the world a safer place.

Who Are We?

Membership is for those who are, by trade, security professionals, law enforcement officials, have served in the armed forces, or have security responsibilities within their portfolio.

What Are We?

A networking space where members can go 24/7/365 to discuss industry issues, exchange information, share best practices, and get solutions. Access educational resources and collaborate in open or private groups.

What We Aren’t:

Your Security Space is not a space to celebrate birthdays, promote personal passions, or share photos of your dinner from last night. Of course, personal social networking is a lot of fun, but there are other platforms that you can use.

Your Security Space offers our members the opportunity to collaborate, with the goal of making the world a safer place.

Users of the Your Security Space website (Site) are subject to the following terms of services (“Terms of Service”) and Community Standards. Please read the Terms of Service carefully before using this Site. By creating an account and using this Site, you agree to the Terms of Service and Community Standards.

THE YOUR SECURITY SPACE TERMS OF SERVICE AND COMMUNITY STANDARDS

The use of the Site requires that:

1. Users be at 18 years old
2. Users register using their real name
3. Users provide accurate information about themselves.
4. Users only create one account for personal or business use
5. Users provide an email address that can be validated
6. Users do not share accounts, passwords, or email addresses
7. Users abide by the Site Terms of Service and Community Standards
8. Users are prohibited from using the site under applicable laws

Your Security Space content sharing:

Your Security Space wants our members to be able to express themselves through the sharing of information that assist others in developing “Safer World Wherever People Live, Learn, Work, Shop, And Play.” We do not want our members to share information that make other feel unsafe, unwelcomed or negatively impacts the integrity of the professional security industry or this Site. 

As a Site user you may NOT:

1. Post or link to any content that violates the Sites Terms of Service and Community Standards
2. Post or link to any content that is knowingly unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or fraudulent
3. Post or link to any content that either infringes or violates someone’s rights
4. Post or link to any content that may violate the intellectual property rights of the creator
5. Post or link to any content that is pornographic, portrays violence against others, or contains any offensive or profane language
6. Post, link to, or upload any viruses or malicious code that could disrupt the use of the Site
7. Collect data on any members without the members’ prior consent
8. Bully, intimidate or harass any member of the Site 

Your Security Space reserves the right to enforce the Terms of Service and Community Standards of the site, to include, but not limited to the removal of content or the restriction of user’s Site access for violating any of the Terms of Service or Site Community Standards. 

Any violation of the Site Terms of Service or Community Standards will result in the user being notified in writing by email of the violation, complaint, and corrective action taken by Your Security Space. However, Your Security Space will grant the user an opportunity to request another review of the content or group.

Your Security Space reserves the right to remove a group, forum, blog, event, image, video, link, or post that violates the Terms of Service or Community Standards. Additionally, Your Security Space may restrict, remove, or merge any groups or forums that may be deemed too similar. However, Your Security Space will grant the user an opportunity to request another review of the group.

Users who repeatedly or seriously violate the Your Security Space Terms of Service or Community Standards and or expose the Site or others to legal liability, intentionally look to harm others, interfere with the operation of the Site, or compromise the integrity of the Site may be removed from or have access limited to the Site.

Your Security Space encourages our users to help police the post, content, and links shared on the Site by reporting any violations or concerns. 

GROUPS, BLOGS, AND EVENTS

Security practitioners are encouraged to create groups, blogs, and events to be shared with other Your Security Space members. However, manufacturers, service providers, developers, organizations, and businesses must purchase a sponsorship. For information on sponsorships, click here or contact [email protected]. Your support is what helps to keep the Site free for our members.

PERMISSION TO USE CONTENT

Due to the nature of the Site, users must grant Your Security Space permission to share and use content that you create and share on the Site since you may have protected the content by trademark, copyright, or intellectual property laws. You will continue to own the rights to your content and intellectual property. However, you grant Your Security Space non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content.

LAW ENFORCEMENT REQUEST

Your Security Space will cooperate with an official law enforcement request for information if the request is received in the form of a warrant and is available. Upon requesting information, Your Security Space will notify the Site member unless the warrant explicitly requests that the member not be informed of the request.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The use of the Site is solely at your own risk. The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Neither Your Security Space, nor its officers, employees, members, subsidiaries, affiliates, or agents make any warranty express or implied, representations or endorsements of any kind whatsoever with regard to any information, product, service, merchandise or other material provided on or through the Site. 

Your Security Space makes no warranty or guarantee that the Site and/or any content therein will meet your requirements, or will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, current, accurate, complete or error-free or that the results that may be obtained by use of the site and/or any content therein will be accurate or reliable. We do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, correctness, timeliness or usefulness of any information, apparatus, product, service, process disclosed, or merchandise or other material provided through the website or on the internet generally. You understand and acknowledge that your sole and exclusive remedy with respect to any defect in or dissatisfaction with the site is to cease using the site.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

You expressly understand and agree that Your Security Space shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary, punitive, or any other monetary damages, including without limitation, fees, fines, penalties, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data loss, or other losses (even if Your Security Space has been advised of the possibility of such damages) arising out of or in any way connected with access to or use of the site; any decision made or action taken by you or anyone else in reliance upon the information contained on or provided through the site, including liability that arises in connection with mistakes or omissions in the information; the cost of procurement of any substitute services and/or products resulting from any products, data, information or services obtained or which you were unable to obtain; any link provided in connection with the site; viruses, whether caused in whole or in part by negligence; acts of god; telecommunications failure; theft or destruction of, or unauthorized access to the site or related information; or any other matter related to your use of the site. Your Security Space specifically disclaims any and all liability arising from any content posted by a third party in any manner on this Site, including any content which may be offensive, profane or obscene, and Your Security Space reserves the right to remove content that is deemed unacceptable.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND ENDORSEMENT DISCLAIMER

The Site may provide links to other websites maintained by third parties that are not under the control of Your Security Space and make no representations or warranties regarding any linked site. Your use of any linked site is solely at your own risk. You understand and acknowledge that your sole and exclusive remedy with respect to any defect in or dissatisfaction with the Site is to cease using the Site.

POSTING AND SHARING OF SUBMISSIONS AND REPRESENTATIONS

Your Security Spaces permits its members to upload, post, message, e-mail or transmit content, data, information or other materials (collectively, “User Content”) for display on the Site or otherwise, you are responsible for all such User Content that you upload, post, email or otherwise transmit to or through Your Security Space. Likewise, you are responsible for complying with all third-party rights with respect to all such User Content that appears on the Site and not to download, email or otherwise transmit such User Content in violation of such third party’s rights. By submitting User Content to Your Security Space, you automatically grant, or warrant that the owner of such Content has expressly granted, the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such User Content (in whole or part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such User Content. In the event that the use of the Content does stand in violation of a third party’s rights, you agree to fully indemnify Your Security Space. 

CHILD PRIVACY AND USE

The Site is intended for adults age 18 and over. It is not intended for or designed to attract persons under the age of 18. We do not permit registration by, nor do we collect personally identifiable information from anyone known to be under the age of 18.

TERMS OF SERVICE AND COMMUNITY STANDARDS MODIFICATIONS

The Terms of Service and Community Standards takes effect as soon as you begin to use the site. Your Security Space reserves the right to modify the user agreement at any time.

Your Security Space reserves the right, at any time and for any reason, without notice to you, to deny you access to this Site, any materials or Content on the Site, or any portion thereof; to change, remove or discontinue any of the Content, materials or information available on or through this Site; or to terminate Terms of Service and Community Standards.
